AMERICAN
SOCIETY FOR ENGINEERING EDUCATION (ASEE)
ASEE prepares students for careers in academia and
industry, educates undergraduate students about graduate education, and
provides forums for open, informal communication between students,
faculty, and administration throughout the College of Engineering.
AMERICAN
SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (ASME)
ASME encourages a high standard of citizenship among
engineers and to encourage engineers to participate in public affairs.

NATIONAL SOCIETY OF BLACK
ENGINEERS (NSBE)
The National Society of Black Engineers, as a student
based professional organization, does hereby dedicate itself to the
development and support of intensive programs for increasing minority
participation in the field of engineering, science, and other related
technologies.
SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS (SAE)
SAE provides practical exposure to a professional
engineering society as well as a focus for campus engineering programs
and projects.
SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS (SWE)
SWE is a non-profit educational service organization
dedicated to making known the need for women engineers and encouraging
young women to consider an engineering education.

SOLAR SPLASH
Solar Splash is the World Championship of
Solar/Electric boating which takes place over a five day period. The
competition is international and intercollegiate. The Mechanical
Engineering Department has placed highly almost every year it has
entered the competition, including World Champions in 2001. More>> |
