The MEMS Lab

The MEMS and Microsystems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina was established in August 2001. Our research group focuses on Microsystems packaging and characterization of MEMS devices. Current research areas range from device design, fabrication, testing, and simulation, to system-level integration of micro cooling devices, micropumps, microfluidics, and BioMEMS. Our current projects are supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), NASA, ASHRAE, South Carolina Space Consorsium, and USC Office of Research.
