ANSYS Tutorial: Piezoelectric Wafer Active Sensors (PWAS) Impedance Simulation
Please download the PZT material properties and extract PZT850_Z_1.Si_mpl to a folder, e.g., "C:\linbin\ANSYS\mat_lib".
Follow the tutorial video for step by step instruction of the PWAS impedance modeling. Please note: you may have your material properties file in a different folder. The only place you need to type in the command window is to import the material properties.
The final results shows in the video is the charge (Q) on PWAS surface (Please note the voltage applied on PWAS surface in the tutorial is 1V). If you export the data, you will have three columns in the data. The first column (col1) is the frequency, the second column (col2) is the real part of the charge, the third column (col3) is the imaginary part of the charge. To get the impedance of PWAS, you will need to calculate using the following Equation.
