Another test was performed using a fringe-projection technique. Fringes were projected onto a white-painted quarter. The phase was extracted from the fringe image with a Hilbert transform-based algorithm. The image size was 400x400 pixels-- the calculation took approximately 1 second on an Intel P5-150 computer under the Linux operating system.
