Majumdar group received 2016 DOE NEUP research grant

Dr. Majumdar will serve as the Co-PI of 2016 DOE NEUP grant titled "Microstructure Experiments-Enabled MARMOT Simulations of SiC/SiC-based Accident Tolerant Nuclear Fuel System". This is a three year project which involves distinguished researchers from NC State (lead), Oak Ridge National Lab, Idaho National Lab, University of Tennessee, and Imperical College.

Jallisa Clifford won 2016 Outstanding MS Thesis Award

Ms. Jallisa Clifford has won the 2016 outstanding MS thesis award for her thesis which focused on Dielectric Characteristics of Microstructural Changes and Property Evolution in Engineered Materials.

Dr. Majumdar's invited presentation at the National Academy is now part of a published report

Dr. Majumdar majumdar's invited presentation on Measurement of Material State Change and Physics Based Prediction at material state awareness workshop organized by the DMMI committe of National Academy is now part of their latest publication.

A new research finding by Dr. Majumdar group won 3rd place outstanding paper award in SAMPE 2015

During SAMPE 2016 conference, Dr. Majumdar group presented multi-physical description of material state change in composite materials and specifically highlighted how degradation in the latent stage can be captured. This earned the 3rd place best paper award by the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering(SAMPE).

1. Majumdar group presented at the SAMPE 2016 conference in Longbeach, CA and DURACOSYS 2016 conference in Arlington, TX.

2. Our research team will present two research papers in upcoming the American Society for Composites (ASC) 31st technical conference.

3. Dominique Davis has worked with Majumdar group for his summer 2016 research experience under the South Carolina Alliance for Minority Participation (SCAMP) program
