Mechanical Engineering professors enforce prerequisites and co-requisites in their classes. If you believe that your circumstances justify a waiver of a prerequisite or co-requisites, please complete all of the following steps at least two weeks before the semester begins:

1. Complete the Prerequisite Waiver Request form (available here or from Room A229). The "justification" section of this form is very important.
2. Submit the request form to the professor of the class you want to take.
3. Submit the form to the Mechanical Engineering Department office for departmental approval. (This step should be completed at least 2 weeks before the semester begins in order to get departmental approval before the first day of classes).
4. Contact the Mechanical Engineering Department office or the Undergraduate Committee Chair to determine the status of you request.
